I don't think it's changing. We have had like no snow for a couple seasons but other factors are involved. And I Europe in the alps. There's so much snow already that some resorts have to close.

yeah I've seen tons of reports on the northern ice cap, shits crazy. They've only been monitoring it since the late 70s and if you look at pictures from back then it'll blow your mind how much they've receded.

There's no way to know what kind of winter you would be having without it, so I don't really understand the question.

If global warming continued over time, would the mountains see precipitation equal to the current amounts except in the form of rain or less precipitation overall because of droughts?

To everyone who says anthropogenic acceleration of climate change is not real...


This is Venus.


It is much too hot for how far it is from the Sun, and we know exactly why. It is due to greenhouse gases. These are the same gases that the consumption of fossil fuels ejects into our atmosphere.

This science is there. The evidence is there. If you want to willfully ignore it, that is fine - but do not hinder the ability for the rest of us to save ourselves with your uninformed opinions. I do not want to end up looking like Venus. It is very possible that we are already past the tipping point, but I'll be damned if we're going to go ahead and squander billions of years of evolution just so we can do what is convenient and not what is right.

As far as we know, we are the only organisms that have survived the pressures of natural selection long enough to contemplate our own existence and our place in the Universe. To go extinct at the hands of our own species would be a tragedy of cosmic proportions, literally.

True but any meaningful solution is hopelessly out of reach in our lifetimes. Undoing it would take hundreds of years if we all dropped dead torrow. I say just stick to what you can control in your own life.

Don't be a pessimist... our generation could and should be the one to ring in a new era of sustainability.
