The 177's, you will find it easiest and most fun.

if you are concerned, meet half way and go 171
there is a HUGE difference in 166 and 177 park skis....

for me being shorter, 5'6, i find it a lot harder to spin 177's ... especially rail game, my old 166 ar6's were soo much better for little hits. Im now on 171 and happy. but its a swing weight thing, obv, 166 are gunna spin up a lot faster than 177 .... you have a nice happy medium with 171.

171's should be fine for you at 5'11 too... if you are an advanced/expert park skier, then def go 177, but given that you had to ask, i think you will have a lot more control, and be able to spin a 171 easier.

I feel like the bigger , the harder to throw spins and move around , I feel like if they were like 166 to 170 I'd be better off ?

As I got better (and still am...hopefully), my skis have been getting larger, while I stopped growing in High School (5'9" on a good day). I went 169...176...181...186.
So it all depends on what you think your level is and how comfortable you think you are. At 5'11", I would say 177 is perfect, especially if the ski is rockered, where the effective edge will be considerably shorter than 177. Better to grow into your skis a little bit than to wish, next year or maybe even sooner, that you had gotten larger skis.

this bs happens on every damn thread. listen goons, ITS NOT ABOUT HOW TALL YOU ARE!!! proper length is based off your level of aggressiveness and more importantly, HOW MUCH YOU WEIGH! weight weight weight weight! dammit. weight compresses camber. if you over-compress the camber of your skis, you will lose all edge hold and you will wash out your turns. so to take a small stab at it, i'd say if you're 160+ lbs and a type II or III skier, stick with the 177's, especially if they're rockered. got it? k thanks
