I just stumbled across this thought it was really cool and worth sharing.

Basically this writer from California called Matt Allard is writing a short story every month for 6 months, which is printed in a limited release with a hand-printed cover.

Cool christmas present idea too haha.

You may not have known this but this was very common in britain pre-20th century.
Lots of people got their books in chapter-long installments over the course of months.
This is why there are lots of books in 3 volumes or instalments that function as a single complete text, they were just written and released in segments as they were completed.

It is a cool idea though. I'd rather subscribe to an author, have them send me a book every year or something.
