Is skiing killing snowboarding?

Found a really go article way back on freeskier website, wonder if anyone can redirect me for my project.

Thought on this subject?

Did snowboarding give rise to skiing and is skiing taking over now due the diversity of having two planks rather than one?

Skiing hasnt diminished snowboarding, but it does influence it even more than snowboarding used to influence skiing

I don't think it has, I snowboard and out here on the east I see 50/50 skiers and snowboarders.
