Universal Ski Rack

Sup NS,

Recently bought a 2000 Mazda Protege, the back seats dont go down so im gonna need a ski rack... Im looking for the cheapest one possible. Do they make universal clip-on ski racks ... I looked a bit but everything i saw was new ski racks...

If anyone knows any good models, brands or any info on good and cheap universal ski racks it would really help me out thanks

depending on whether or not your car has side rails you'll need crossbars too. some mount directly to the roof (non-permanent/for cars without side rails) and some attach to the existing side rails. most companies (i.e. thule, yakima) make universal crossbars so finding some isn't a huge issue, but they run about $40-80 per pair. for the rack itself RockyMounts is a great place to start. their smallest rack (3 pairs of fat skis or 2 snowboards) is $139. you can probably find racks cheaper but $ = quality and you definitely don't want your skis flyin away.
