It is about 50 miles from nowhere man, I like the area but most people don't. It is not what you think Colorado is. There aren't really any mountains in that part of the state, more mesas and parts of the bookcliffs. If you are into hunting, dirt biking, ... it would be fun. Closest skiing is Powderhorn, Steamboat aspen are at least 2 hrs away with park city about 4 hrs away. Rangely is kind of a shit hole, but shit holes can be fun. Lots of coal and oil and gas jobs in the area so those are the kind of people that live there. I think that for hiking and stuff that the area is pretty cool because you get some different geography from the rest of the state.
