I think it's only Liberty and Igneous that have a true 3-year warranty.
Every ski (yes, every ski) will have a breaking point, so those fools that say a ski is unbreakable are morons. No ski is unbreakable - THEY ALL BREAK and sometimes when they break it's a damn good thing.
What I respect is Adam Sherman or whoever is running Igneous and the Liberty crew REALIZE that all skis have a breaking point, and that they want to REWARD skiers for skiing their brand. So if you break them, they get replaced for free.
Damn, I should have said WHEN you break them. Shit everything breaks if you bend it hard enough or fast enough. These two companies are hip enough to say that if a kid went out and spent his b-day money on some sticks, it would suck if they broke - well it doesn't suck if they get replaced.
And do I think that these warranties contribute to risky ski behaviour (meaning that people will take risks that they otherwise would not take)? Well, yes I do.
Liberty and Igneous. I like 9W too. not so much 4F. Dislike Salomon now ex-Candide. Jerks.

^Igneous skis DO fall apart. They are made out of a 1962 Rossignol ski press, and and do not ski that well. Why do think they fell off the map?
And saying Ninthward and Liberty has a better warrnty stance than 4FRNT is the most ridculous thing I've heard.
This is 9ward and Liberty's FIRST SEASON as a retail available ski. You have NO IDEA how their skis will hold up or what those companies will/won't warranty.
4FRNT has a FULL season under their belt, and has had less than 1% warranty come back!!!
What possible basis can you make the above comments???

He didn't say that ninethward's warranty was good. He said liberty's was good. And this is their third year, not their first. Plus, I have skied them for 2 years. The combination of those facts is how one can make such an assertion. Maybe he can't but I can. You are right about the ingeouses, though. But you are wrong about liberty - they're warranty is real and so are the skis and the company.
Igneous had some weird marketing thing with a liquor company that blew up, didn't they? And the skis are like $900!! Liberty are where it's at (or where it will be).

This year is still Liberty's first BIG push into the market. Depending on their popularity, they will have to produce skis at a major production level. This is hard for new companies, sometimes the demand overshadows a company's ability to build skis (exactly what happened with Igneous).
When the orders start adding up, quality control can suffer and you might send out some bad apples. You just don't know right now, it's too early to call.
And he did mention 9W before 4F at the bottom of his post.

metal an ti can break... look at bike frames....
In fact, it will bend after one good impact because of it's ductile nature. And if you makethe ski stifer so it wont bend, then you'll break everyboes in your leg if you ever land on the tails

really?......how many of you have even destroyed a ski? I haven't, I've tried, but..no. I blew-out an edge ONCE. Epoxyed the bith up, and moved on. Besides, if you have a good relationship with your local shop, they will make sure you are taken care of.

i've broken skis. pretty bad too. delammed about 4 inches down, core shots, my topsheet pinches when i tailpress cause the core is disintegrated, good stuff i tell ya. and somehow the 1080s still ski awesome.
