What the fuck? I never wait in a line at IKEA. All of the items in the showrooms are marked, there is a self-serve warehouse, there is self check-out no matter how many items you have. Even their restaurant is mostly self-serve, self-clean. It's why everything is cheap. I've been to ikea many times when I have literally spoken to no one from entrance to exit.

also coolest key hook you can buy is one of their large magnet strips made for holding kitchen knifes and then use your metal key ring to hang your keys right by the door. so much cooler than having a bunch of hooks etc for your car keys and house keys.

magnets, how do they work?

also best cheap TV stand in the world is a cheap coffee table and just use it for a TV stand. its got a shelf underneath for the Xbox and Roku box, its clean looking, the right height offthe ground and solid enough to hold a 40in tv. Best $20 ive ever spent.

Ikea has cheap modern furniture that you have to put together yourself. It is ok.

personal experience? are you talking about a button to unlock your car? or a key with a chip in it to start your car? the old subie has a remote unlock pad and hasent had any issues, but the keys are not chipped either.

I don't think you'll be able to mess up plain old remote keys with the magnet. No idea about the new fancy chip ones, cause I have no idea how those work.

But quick physics lesson. It is unlikely you will break your keys by generating a sufficiently large change in magnetic flux to induce a current in your remote that destroys the wiring. Especially just by putting them there and taking them away. I think, anyway. Maybe it affects other components of the key thing, but you probably won't kill the remote like that.

Also I haven't been to ikea in a long time. But if their furniture is not super high quality, I bet some diy shenanigans could make it stay together forever.

I work at an Ikea where half of the employees got sent to open the one in Winnipeg.

But basically its shit furniture for pretty cheap and the person who said its Disneyland for married couples is 100% right. Its that, students in August buying cheap shit or couples moving into their first apartment. People love the fuckin place. I dont get it.
