Im looking to get a G-Tech G-Raid 4 TB Dual Drive for video/photo editing and I was wondering if any of you guys have drives from them? I have heard their great but I have also heard that they fail so I am not sure what to believe. If someone could give me insight into this that would be great. Thanks NS

Any drive can fail. But, gtech is definitely one of the more trusted brands. You have a raid setup so you're safe at least.

work off a bunch of them and they're great. had an issue with 1 out of over 20 raid setups, but it was with one drive so it gets rebuilt no problem. definitely worth the investment if you can't afford risking losing footage.

I use the 500 gb G-Tech drive. Had it for about 5 months now, keep all my photos and videos on them. Haven't had a problem yet so I would definitely recommend it.

I use G tech and OWC, not even worth messing with the cheap drives. Never had any issues with G techs, had one issue with an 800 port going out on OWC, sent it in, they repaired it at no cost, pretty nice.
