the classics. cant go wrong with homer (iliad and odyssey), divine comedy, paradise lost, dostoyevsky, kafka, einstein, oedipus, etc. etc. etc.

one girl looked at my collection after i told her which ones were good reads, and she said that she wasnt into literature, but twilight/hunger games type novels. i died a little inside because she is a cool chick.

although she did enjoy aesops fables for whatever thats worth...
