Facebook vimeo embedding

Does anyone know how to change the embed settings of your video so that when you share it the crop bars wont be white? This seems to only happen while sharing videos on facebook.

you could always just overlay black bars before exporting

yeah, but then it looks stupid when you watch it in the player on vimeo. why letterbox something when you don't necessarily have to?
