I'd say a good 15-30% of the time I'm at the hill, especially hiking rails trying to do/learn something new, I'm generally frustrated as fuck and not at all enjoying being there.
i can get a little frustrated when i can't land a trick i know i should be able to... but i just remind myself that i'm fucking skiing and i take a little break from the park to get back to having as much fun as possible
I love skiing but I definitely understand what the OP is getting at. Occsionally something won't work, you know you can do the trick, you can feel it in the muscle memory but it won't play out, and then the rage happens. It was worse with skateboarding but I definitely get it with skiing too.
I have never hated skiing, ever. Honestly, if you start getting frustrated, stop what you're doing and just ride. I rarely hike shit 'cause riding 'round and doing fun, creative shit is just too much fun.
I get frustrated sometimes but I don't think it would be possible for me to hate it. When I'm seshing in my back yard and get pissed and quit, about an hour after I storm inside I always want to put my stuff back on and do it again.
I only don't enjoy it when I fall pretty hard in the first few runs and then have little confidence and a headache for the rest of the day. Still won't hate it though
Not really, I might get bored with it for the day because of the terrain, but then I'll watch some vid and I'll be pumped to try out whatever I saw the next day.
the only thing i hate is at the end of the day when my legs are fucking noodles, and my feet are killing me, and I've got a pair of skis which feels like they weigh 1,000 lbs over my shoulder and I'm walking what feels like 15 miles to the car...in ski boots....that, i truly hate. all i want to do is collapse. but that's always after the absolute best days where i've skied my balls off, so s'all good.
I've never felt that was. Even tho my mountain is ice 90% of the time you just get over that and have fun. And to me hiking and not landing a trick is just as fun as hiking and landing.
