Before they put a lift in 2 seasons ago, Mittersill at Cannon, NH could, with a good snow the night before (remember we're talking east coast here), could have mornings runs with knee-deep pow or better!
Also, next to Cannon's back bowl on the south face is a trailed called "Gunsight" which isn't on any trail map and like before - when the conditions are right - has some of New England's craziest backcountry I'd bet. Nice wide open powder fields with tiny trees sprinkled throughout, then riding deeper snow as you go down from the ridge into the treeline, finally reaching the old ski jumping runs (pretty sure Meatheads has footage of them somewhere)

Kinsman Glade, just to the right of Gunsight also boasts fantastic powder skiing at times. It's steep, and there are a LOT of trees, real intense. I'm not that familiar with other mountains
