Ski Chips

Hey NS so today was opening day at my local hill and after sliding a couple rails and hitting some small opening day size booters in the park my brand new skis looked almost destroyed and i bent the brake so far over on one ski i can no longer click in. Is there an easy way to fix this? and what about the chips should i just deal with it because thats what you have to do to progress or should i slow it down a notch?

Well it all depends on the skis you have il take a
Guess and say you have some cheap park
Skis like after bangs. These skis are cheaply made and will be destroyed much faster than smaller quality brands, I'd say keep progressing because you can't get a warranty at this point

I've never warrantied anything before.. But I think if that happened to me I'de email the manufacturer.

Thanks for the help guys. I'm off to college next year so wont have money for new gear so i'll take her slow. they gotta make it three seasons.

no no he just thought thats what i had because suspects get chipped really easily. theyre dope skis they just chip.

It's not that the ski's suck. You just can't ski without beatering, and bashing your ski's together.

exactly. especially because it is my first pair of twins so I'm learning as i go but i want to keep them nice. and i need another two seasons out of them including this season. apparently they can be filled in with Dev-con 30 minute 2 ton epoxy to help them last a little bit longer but its hard to find in Canada and no one will ship it from the states. calling my local supplier Monday.

Just hit up a canadian tire and pick up regular epoxy if your that worried about it

If you need them to last 3 seasons and you trashed them that much in a day the answer is don't hit rails. A day of rails probably puts more wear on a ski than a season of plain old skiing. You're essentially smashing them on a metal bar with your full body weight behind it.

dude its top sheet chipping its completely cosmetic and wont effect the skis performace at all, they wont warranty it, its wear and tear not a manufacter defect, as with most skis with a vertical sidewall construction it happens more often, ski them as they r, its completely fine
