Mac sub/superscript

Would appreciate it if somebody tells me how to make a number subscript or superscript in Pages on Mac, thanks. (Needed for mathematical & chemical formulae, and dates)

Hmm, that doesn't do anything for me. Command control - gives me subscript though. Thanks
