Possible to hack into a gas pump for free/cheap gas?

They are run by computers so there must be a way to quickly do some work on the little key pad and hack into possibly a administrative mode or some sort of mode that gets youf ree or cheap gas. Anyone ever do this or know how to?

most gas stations use satellite signals to handle their credit card transactions. I read somewhere that a group of kids somewhere in the south put aluminum foil covering between the LNB and the dish, disrupting the signal. The system was set up such that in the event of a signal failure, a computer would store the transaction info and process/approve it when the link went live again. They used fake cards to get free gas, at least until someone caught on to this. I assume they've changed the systems or added additional safeguards against this kind of thing. But maybe not.
