thats why i asked because i wasnt sure of the difficulty to get in, i always thought it was pretty good, however bates, colby, bowdoin are all on the list swell i just wondered if uvm was a good choice or if it would just be a fallback.

Yeeeeee Bates. Honestly, I was in the same boat as you. Got into UVM honors college with some merit scholarship, also got into CC but Bates was always my 1st choice. If your ever up here visiting give me a shout!

There's definitely some sick urban, both on campus and In Lewiston/Auburn. The freestyle community is still getting itself organized here, but I know we're looking to hit some this year.

Go to UVM for sure. If you've ever been to Burlington you know it's awesome. Up there the ski/board/skate and outdoor culture is simply amazing. Such a sense of community and fun exciting stuff always going on whether its a party or w.e. The ski club runs buses to stowe and other mountains sat and sunday, the freestyle team goes up midweek with a bus. you'll always be able to find a ride to a mountain too.

Congrats homie! UVM is dope!
I'm Prez of the UVM Freeskiing Team this year and it's the 6th year the club has been around. We've done some big things this year like getting custom Orage hoodies, teaming up with Ski The East and Flyin Ryan, hiring a filmer and photographer, and organizing a three event series at Stowe called the Triple Crown (rail Jam, 1st ever Freeride event @ stowe, and slopestyle comp in March). We also do trainings weekly at the local freestyle center which has flybeds and a foam pit. We've taken team trips to airbags in Waterville and wateramps in Lake Placid. And we also have a professional coach who coached at CVA for 5 years before coming here. Oh, and we have vans to the mountain 2x a day, 7 days a week during the winter. And we pay for basically all comp fees. And we do tons of fun events like the popular Gallon Challenge where you can win a pair of skis!
Stowe is our home mountain so if your interested in seeing what it has to offer, I can get you a free day ticket so you can shred with some kids on the team and see what we're all about. Let me know if that sounds like something you'd be interested in or if you have any questions. Good luck with all of it!

Two of my good friends brothers went there. One actually transferred in from Amherst. Both of them were huge downhill skiers that turned to BC/touring. I really wish I had looked into it a bit more.
