In this day and age when typing takes the place of writing how does our handwriting compare NS?

Mine is pretty shitty, I really type too much...

I think mine is alright, nothing great tho, but my roommate thinks it is amazing, thought my notes for one class were a poem, etc.

yeah but isn't handwriting really just as good as you want it to be? I mean, if you pay attention and like it to be neat, can't everyone write in neat, nice cursive? What I mean is...there's someone's natural and fast handwriting, like if they're jotting down a note, but isn't everyone really capable of nice neat cursive if they want to write that way?

I need vertical and horizontal lines and they have to be like 1/2 college rule or else my writing is skew and disorganized. One white paper my lines are sometimes at like 30 degree angles. For some reason I'm not as bad on a chalkboard/whiteboard though

no. some people have awesome handwriting, some people have shitty handwriting. not the same level but it's the same idea as telling someone they write shitty music or that they suck at skiing because they aren't trying. some people are just better for whatever reason. if i know someone has to read my handwriting like an essay or birthday card i try hard as fuck to be really neat but it looks like a child did it regardless. do i try to write neatly? yes but does it ever work? not at all

Meh, mines pretty bad, but it gets the job done, also included my signature...that is one thing I do like when it comes to my penmanship.

funny thread, although i completely lack the ability to write very beautiful when i dont concentrate 100% on it and need like a 20 minutes for a page or whatever.

idk how it is in the us, but we HAD to write cursive for a long time in school (6-7 grade?), and the little che guevara in me decided kinda early to switch to print because i was so cool. teachers told me to go back because thats how THINGS ARE DONE AROUND HERE.

but its bad enough in print, you wouldnt really want it in cursive

im not going to pretend that im not completely jealous, or that i didnt just spend 10 minutes trying to find these photos on a stock image site, but this kid is so fucking in love with himself that it makes me sick. not that im not in love with myself, too. in fact im a pretty fucking good specimen of the human species. but i dont casually mention that i accidentally got the wrong dimension moleskin notebook and expect that to mean something to people.

I think the mentioning had to do with the reference of size, otherwise his handwriting would be impossible small. And it was obviously a moleskine. I''m more surprised you didn't pick out on his 150 dollar mechanical pencil.

Moleskines are not even nearly as expensive or exclusive as you make them seem.

i know they arent that big of a deal, but its fancier than the 5-star paper bound most people use. and i could have picked on his pencil but that would make me seem like a hypocrite. since my dad is an architect, everyone in my family has dozens of similar pencils. anyways, enough picking on lawrence, heres my handwriting:

Yeah...I think his posts come across as OCD for perfectionism. Could be his natural tendencies...could be influence from a perfectionist designer expect-only-the-best father, or could be all in my head? Who knows.

The other day I looked at my grade 1 handwriting and it looks the exact same as it does now. So in other words, it's pretty bad...

Lawrence should actually live in a monastery and become a monk. Or perhaps he's already a monk who's breaking the rules?

handwritten cyrillic should always be cursive. I used to be able to.. but haven't had a russian class now in a long time. so i lost my skill. (btw what the hell is your name! either I can no longer read cyrillic at all anymore.. or its just a name I never encountered)

anyways... as far as regular hand writing goes. I always write all caps. don't really know why. way too lazy to upload a pic and try and figure out how to post it though =P
