It's one of the things I'm pretty good at, coincides with an ability to draw rather decently and my ambidexterity I guess.
This is what a quickly jolted down note from a lecture looks like, do mind that the notebook is around 9 by 14cm or 3,5 by 5,5inches for you imperial folk, so yes I write small, really really small.
Mine sucks. I don't need to write it on a piece of paper, take a picture of it, upload it to my computer, upload it to the internet, and then post it into this thread to prove that.
Honestly, the neatness changes from day to day. Sometimes it is horrific, other days I can get some pretty neat looking notes. But my good looking notes look terrible compared to Lawrence's here.
Here's some Chemistry notes of mine from the other day... this is about a 8"x10" paper
I'm honestly the only person I know in my school that normally writes in cursive. It's pretty sad that it's dying so quickly. I think it's so much more artistic than print which is why I really enjoy it. I like developing my style and consistency. I actually enjoy writing when it's not notes that I'm scrambling to write down (like this). I'm not sure why, but I just really like it when my letter or word comes out exactly how I wanted it to. I look forward to the day when my penmanship is even close to that of Lawrence's.
I write in all caps all the time. Just started doing it one day back in high school and I've done it since. These are just some somewhat sloppy notes from work I made studying for a test:
And to whoever said cursive is becoming a lost art is right. I learned it so long ago I don't really remember how to write it properly. Hell, I have a rough enough time reading it sometimes.
For real though, I get a lot of complaints too. Like when I have to write on the board everyone freaks out like I'm writing in latin or something... So then I write in print, which I do in all caps because I think it's a lot cleaner and then get even more complaints but ignore them.
I agree, I am one of two people that always writes in cursive. Its me and another friend from high school, and we picked it up from our 7th grade english teacher. I have people still flip out about it at college. Mine gets a little messy when Im like sprint note taking, otherwise its pretty neat and uniform. But I write in pen, and mess up a fair amount, so a lot of scribbles.
