Looks like a difficult version of ball in a cup

I've been playing kendama for over a year now, and all I can say is that I've spent WAY too much time playing. I am starting not to play as much anymore, but all I can say is that I think it would worth it to pick one up despite all the hate.

Oh and by the way, this is my favorite edit.

I'm going to be honest, It was a good edit, but I was kinda disapointed with the music. I think the original by RHCP would've been better fitting than that rap

play and ski with my good bud tj kolesnik all the time. Its super fun and if you like skiing i bet you'd like it. Has a similar kinda progression feel believe it or not ( 2 of the 4 kids on the Kendama USA pro team are sick park skiers )

I like to compare certain tricks in kendama to ski tricks in terms of difficulty and how quickly i learned them.

I have one a friend gave me and its fun to do when you're just sitting around, plus it actually really helps hand-eye coordination. I would never make an edit or "dama" with my friends as an activity though, that's just silly.

To all that are hating you obviously have never played with one, and we don't do it to be "cool". It is just fun to progress, and to waste time. There is also a really stoked community and culture behind it that is comparable to skiing's even better culture.

Dude get yourself a yo-yo... you may be a little bit of coordination to this but nothing compared to what you will get with the yoyo. Plus I'm sorry there's just no way a ball on a cup is cool. Honestly just to see I picked one up and there wasn't a trick I couldn't perform within 30 minutes of trying. The fact that there are pros for this make me absolutely mind boggled. Might as well do professional string tying. How about present wrapping. I'm sorry it's just super lame and with the music involved the sets are just sadly childish. at least with the yo-yo there's several different tricks you can do and they actually look cool. Not saying that it's not nerdy as well but it's so much cooler. And how the heck is this and skiing similar? Might as well say that making paper airplanes and skateboarding are similar. The two just have nothing to do with each other. Flipping a ball and landing in a cup or strapping on skis and going down a hill have nothing in common. I'm sorry I don't care if some of you agree you're just wrong... I'm not trolling either I was just trying to figure out why in the hell this was a thing... I remember the boring bowl in a cup when I was a kid and this just looks like an upgraded version of that and from what I practiced it was. I would never buy one I just played with a friends and told him he wasted his money. NowI'm trying to figure out what other nerdy crap will become a trend, how about the string, the paddle and the ball, for professional hula hooping and we will compare it to skydiving because while we're at it why don't we just name other things that are in no way similar. I'm sorry I'm just a grown man and seeing people even over the age of 18 playing with these in acting like it's some sort of profession just blows my mind. At 37 years old I'm just mind blown at the things people are becoming professionals at. I think I may just go out and buy an old Chinese finger trap and try to make that a trend. have you seen those new Chinese finger trap tricks? I wouldn't be surprised if it's already a bad after seeing this. Don't waste your money I don't care how old this post is I'm sure others will read it. Don't waste your money it's silly. They can buy a yo-yo. Or a skateboard. Both things that were cool growing up and still are cool. Not a fan of skis either get yourself a snowboard period I will admit skiing is probably harder but now that it's compared to this ball throwing I've lost respect for those who do both as well. Not that you care but you should... Because me being the rational person I am that tends to agree with most people who have average opinions, I must tell you... There are many people looking down on you right now if I am. Because whether you are trying to look cool or not, you look down right silly and are worse than such... Also, I don't see you ever scoring a hot girlfriend playing with this ball on a cup.. if you're going to do it, at least do it by yourself at home and don't try to make a profession out of it.
