FKS 140 vs Pivot 14

Hey guys,

So I recently picked up a pair of Line Chronic 2011 skis 183cm. I need to buy another pair of bindings to put on these skis and I cant decide between these two pairs. The Pivots in Kiwi green look nicer on the skis than the FKS's bright orange color. How they look doesn't really matter to me I just want the best performing binding out of these two.
Which one would you guys get?
If they are pretty much the same binding I will get the Pivots however because if they are the same then I will add the color into making my decision.

they are exactly the same binding except the color. pick the color you like best, same binding

Look and Rossignol have been manufacturing bindings out of the same factory for years now. Get whatever you like better, or better yet, find a used pair of FKS 155s/pivot 15s. The 15 din version isn't produced any more, but has a 6-15 din that's very similar to the 5-14 of the FKS 140, but has the same full metal race toe of the FKS 180, unlike the plastic toe of the 140. Solidly better binding, that you'll be able to find on here or on TGR for around $150 in good condition. More torsionally rigid, better power transmission, more durable, and caters to the same range of skiers. There's absolutely no reason you should pay twice as much for a brand new 140 just for the colorway.

Here's a link to a sale on here right now for some 155s. I'd snatch those up quick if I were you. I'd grab them if I needed them...

this.

i found a brand spankin new pair of Look pivot 15s from dads old skis that were like 10+ years old that he used like twice and they are literally the same thing as fks 14s, and being the same design as the 18s without the toe piece

That's why you bend them! Handlebars or a short length of pipe will work for this. Just remember not to heat them beforehand and mark your bend. It's also easier on newer brakes because they're thicker.

I've got my Pivot 14 and they are really good. I am very pleased with bindings!
but if I had Line chronics, I would go with the FKS 140.
