This will be my first winter in the city, am still looking for good spots and riders to go with as well. A bike ride up the West Side bike path will not disappoint you. Sooooo many rails, but almost all require a bungee. I might need to invest in one this winter.
Riverside, Morningside, Central Park, and a ton of rails in the all of the boroughs. Spots that bladers and bmxers know about. Westchester has some dope rails all over as well.
yeah ive spotted some rails already. ik of a dfd and a rlly long sorta down bar on 107 and riverside. thrs a shit ton in central park except i feel like the cops (and the park people) would tell you to stop so quickly. Anyway if we get some snow i hope to ski some of that urban. and yeah my freind and i are probs gonna buy a bungee this winter.
Yessir, Central Park wouldnt be that bad on a snowy day especially, I doubt the Parks Department or Cops give 2 shits. Let me know when you do set something up.
In my town theres a sick wallride thing at a school like 2 blocks from my house and a huge down tube with a nice run in, been dying to hit it. pics tomorrow.
I'm down on the LES and there is a massive outdoor theater in east river park under the Williamsburg bridge. The park cops don't bother to ever check the theater and there is sick lighting on it. I plan on hitting it when we get some solid snow.
Damn, that sounds like a fun time! I'm so pissed that I had to break a rib RIGHT before the best east coast snow storm ever. If we get another decent storm, I'd hit some urban with you.
Me and my buddy hit up this rail on 69 and riverside in the park there. Only problem was the amount of sledders. We had to push each other to get speed for the rail so we didn't get any good shots. I have a pic of me about to jump onto the rail here:
Later on a park guy told us he had to salt the walk so we decided to take down our jump and make a path gap... two hours later we had this:
polar vortex v2 was my final straw--way too much snow to not be able to urban something. Whats this 108 street nonsense you speak of? I'm down in EV so getting up there may be a bitch without a car...
