It's a very simple design, but tell me which design you like best and if there is anything I can do to improve upon it!

you should use a different color than blue for the outline, or maybe fill in the outline. If it were my design i would just do ILLINOIS with ILL in red. The "i put..." part reminds me of those douchy nike shirts

Haha, I like that idea! But it was better in theory than in practice :( It takes away from the look of those douchy nike shirts that four1two mentioned. I've been trying to make the outline thicker, but I can't figure out how. Guess I'll have to change the color so it's easier to see.

I think you should have the ILL red in the illinois aswell, kind of like

I'm watching this from behind my ridiculously expensive and meticulous colour calibrated monitor.
At half brightness the contrast between the colours is still to harsh, it is simply painful too look at.

Tried this after you said it, but since the red "ILL" already stands out so much, having two in there is just like rubbing it in your face.
