yo guys i have a take home exam due tomorrow in my Monitoring Forest Health class and im completely stuck on a question and cant seem to find information about it anywhere. question follows as:

Why is the warming of the first half of the 20th century considered to be due to natural causes, while the mid-century cooling and warming of the second half of the 20th century are considered to be due to anthropogenic causes?

Its because of the rate of change that has been observed since the industrial revolution. All processes on Earth do have a natural cycle so we would naturally have a warming and cooling cycle. BUT in the last hundred and fifty years or so we have had an extremely aggressive rate of change that could not possibly happen naturally.

I think thats what youre looking for

i think i figured most of it out, but this is referring to further than the industrial revolution1900-2000, it has to do with the 5 major volcanic eruptions which put immense ash into the atmosphere which reflect sun light and ultimately cool the earth, while in the mid 20th century we had a periode known as the "little ice age" with little change in temperature and then in the second half of the 20th century the increase has been from green house gases from anthropogenic (us) from the 4 big contributors.

Now to just write this in a educated manor with references
