Does anyone else think chrome sucks?

I'm so fucking over chrome.

I was watching a video on youtube, 1080p and after about 80 seconds my video was freezing and my computer was running 185-190 degrees....

Opened up firefox, watched the same video at 1080p and watched the entire 5 mins, no freezing and my computer was about 160-165 degrees.

What the fuck chrome? You're fucking done.

Ehh thats just personal customization though. Each browser has good customization options, i actually prefer firefox for that.

Hey looks like I'm not the only one. Opera is super fast, great user interface and the speed dial is a million times better than chrome or firefox's version of it.

i guess ive been pretty lucky, running a late 2008 15' mbp 2.53ghz 4gb ram, and any given day i have about 42 tabs open across 6 windows, and i get hardly any slowdown until i start trying to open fcp/pp/ps/ai/etc and run a bunch of different programs at the same time.

what settings are you running for your powersave/ performance and chrome preferences, and are you running anything at the same time?

This is true, Apple has a block on all apps that only let them go a certain speed, not really sure what it is.

If you jailbreak you can get a hack called Nitro, it takes off that block. Chrome is sick for the IPhone.

knowing the temperature of different parts on your computer is pretty important, in fact, your computer actually monitors the temperature for you.... and you know..... turns the fan/cooling system on in your computer

Meh, never had a problem with Chrome. Out of the ones I have on my laptop (IE, Firefox, Chrome), Chrome is definitely my favorite. I like the nice clean look of it, nothing too fancy going on with like a crazy toolbar or some shit. Incognito comes in handy as well ahaha.

My chrome has said I have to update Adobe flash player for over 2 months. Cept when you go to update it, it says Chrome should do it automatically so it is impossible to fix it. I've given up on chrome, turned to shit. I have to hit ignore everytime something loads. Using FireFox now.

i dont have any issues.. have you updated it? they are on a rapid release cycle similar to firefox. hit up the about chrome tab and let it upgrade.

i sometimes have brief moments of chrome shitting the bed, but i mean right now this is what i have going on

right side is an hour and 12 minute hd youtube video playing alongside everything else, only time anything is currently slowing down is when i go through and open up about 8 or so new threads on ns. to be honest, the biggest cause of slowdown for my chrome is being on newschoolers..

been using Opera for YEARS!

but the latest update causes it to crash constantly for me, I've switched to Chrome for the time being :(

I miss mouse commands dearly.

About a year ago everyone had the biggest boner for chrome. I never even bothered with it. I tried it once and had problems on YouTube so I just deleted it.

It's a known issue that chrome is more resource intensive than other browsers. I personally still use it because it supports a ton of different web formats that some other browsers don't. Also, syncing it with my google account so I can open the tabs on my desktop on my laptop anywhere to continue whatever i was doing is great. So is having the same bookmark bar.

went from firefox to chrome. chrome started to suck. started using safari and now I don't really get why people say it sucks. seems to work the best for me (although the only add on I use is addblock)

I use firefox, but a couple weeks ago the adobe plugin got fucked up and they havent updated it yet, so I've been using safari the last couple weeks
