i feel like strapping water on your back would throw off you balance a ton, especially if your dropping cliffs or hitting jumps/rails

I've done I on back country, you have to be creative with the mouth piece/tube because it freezes up real quick if its out in the open

Insulated tube and you should be fine, they make special camelbacks for cold weather

My friend and I totally fucked up his camel back bladder and hose with UV Blue.
Not a good idea.
It was worth it though.

If backcountry or hiking is involved i find that it helps. otherwise not really worth it.. just my opinion

when ever i ski with my ogio vest i have one with me, so much more convienent. can get pretty annoying when they start leaking and breaking though.

ive got one that i sometimes wear under my jacket because the straps make my coat bunch up. thats a nice way to do it because you dont look like a weirdo and the water wont freeze, but it makes riding the lift uncomfortable so i dont do it too often.

I was thinking about wearing one UNDER my jacket. like a thin one where there isnt much backpack to it, just a spot for the bladder.
1. you can fill it with alcohol
2. it protects your spine a little

would it make me look like a hunchback though?

Depends on how thristy you get. Do you like to carry a water bottle in your jacket? If not, wear the camelback, plus you gain gnar points for looking like you are heading into the backcountry.
