Fuck beat me too it. Very surprised by this as well, orage makes so of the best outerwear in the game (freeskiing at least). Armada must be paying a pretty penny, and I spy a new Gortex pro-model dropping soon as well.

Seriously, what would it say about your company if one of the owners used another companies product when you had an equivalent product...I'm surprised it didn't happen sooner (probably had to do with his contract length with Orage).

Tanner and oakley... Same company, same deal, except tanner and oakley go together like peanut butter and ladies. Maybe JP and orage only went together like peanut butter and celery, like its totally dope, but your really only in it for the peanut butter.

JP is not Tanner and Orage is not Oakley (not trying to take anything away from either JP or Orage...but ask almost anyone who has ever skied before who Tanner Hall is and 90% of the time they'd be able to tell you something, ask them who JP is and they would most likely have a hard time. Same goes for Oakley, ask anyone...anyone what Oakley is and they'd be able to answer, ask about Orage, different story).

That being said...I would not be surprised if after Tanner's contract runs up he leaves Oakley for outerwear (they'd probably stay connected for goggles/eyewear) and also joins Armada Outerwear...it's the smart business move for Armada if they really want their Outerwear program to succeed.

It's not like Orage are missing a strong team of riders behind them though. They seem to have a real skill for pick up riders early on who go on to completely blow up

it be awesome if he brought some fresh new ideas, ( and maybe a lil magic from orage haha), for their outerwear program. shits been awful looking since day one. some people like it, but imo it be cool if he brought out some more laid back patterns, along with some more neutral colors, and combined it with some geortex , that would make for a sick line of outerwear i think.

Not to mention they still have yet to figure out how to make a correct tall fit jacket or much less an exterior audio pocket lol (I'm just a gear nerd though, I notice every little tiny thing)

the company is certainly not getting less popular by the year considering they sponsor will wesson, andy parry, phil casabon, chris logan, banks gillberti, andrew whiteford. they also run the fucking masters if that means anything to you. as for the designs being the same each year i urge you to go look at their archives where every year each single piece they make has like 4 different colourways. and if the bdog is not a "correct tall fit" then i urge you to look at any other coat they have in a bigger size.

Who you sponsor doesn't mean shit. I personally hate Nike, just because they poached a bunch of skiers and don't even list it on their site for sports they sponsor. But does that mean I hate Gus, Rolland, Erikson and the Wells brothers? Hell no. I love those guys. If you only like a company because they sponsor a bunch of sick athletes (full tilt and twelve year olds) then you are fucking retarded.

care to point out where i said it mattered about who was sponsored? the whole point of bringing up the people who ride for orage was to point out its certainly not getting less popular with such a stacked team of riders.
