yeah thats what my friends said! bummed i wasnt able to make it up! hopefully they can make alot more snow this week and get some help from mother nature even if its a few inches!
today was nice, probably about 4 or 5 inches so far so but its super windy, the snow is blowing a ton creating some areas with a foot and others that are down to solid ice. hope the wind calms down because if it does, tomorrow could be such an epic day
website says they got 3-4 inches today, probably some mixed precip in there that they didnt tell us about too but whatever, at least when this freezes up there will be a solid base
honestly conditions at cannon continue to get even better, outside the park the snow was so good today especially on the front 5. really liking the jumps at cannon, they really need to put in some rails!
^conditions were horrible today. The only "good" snow I found was in Go Green and Mitersill Where'd all the rails go in the park too? Need to remove the up box to propane tank too. Keep it simple.
I agree! The conditions were meh...zoomer was awesome....just got my wisdom teeth out so couldn't hit anything but the jumps looked rad....idk y Lars puts such stupid rail features in I'm sorry
looking like a little bit of snow tonight and tomorrow, also heard they are making snow on a bunch of trails on the front 5, any updates on the park or other snowmaking?
the park is alright, pretty lame imo, jumps are nice, rails kinda suck, dont go to mittersille unless you want to ruin skis or know places people havnt gone, but the snow is nice, skiing was good this week
Finally 100% open, but what happened to the park? It is set up terribly. No flow at all and those propane tank need to be thrown in the woods and replaced with real rails and boxes that are not set up on top of hips.
The woods have been great! Got into mardi gras last week and and there were a few nice untouched stashes. Even kinsman was nice. Might have to venture over to Gunsite tomorrow. Anyone been over there?
went last weekend, snowfields were meh, the top and middle was fun, just enough snow, the bottom kinda sucked, it was really heavy snow, but up top there is like barely enough, it was like 4 inches on top of ice, other spots were really good, id say its worth it....never figured out how to get into mardi gras
would strongly disagree, love the mountain, the skiing, the terrain and the friends i have there but the management sucks so much, everyone has such a bad attitude towards freestyle skiing and im pretty much sick the crappy park....lars could make a sick park if the management didnt have him grooming 3 parks a night and maybe hired some kids to work the park....that being said i bet the skiing this weekend was awesome very bummed i had SATs
really hoping we get the large amounts they are saying out of this storm, even if it is heavy, wet snow it will be an awesome base builder for the spring
Still some snow up there and full rollers/maybe jumps from what i could see driving by, Snow should stay for a while as it seems, possible hiking session?
if you go to colby sawyer, skiing sunapee would be your best bet, it is 15 minutes from campus and has a decent park. if you go to plymouth, there is a good chance they will have $7.50 tickets to cannon with your student ID. its a sweet deal and it allows you to have the loon pass for the best parks around and still go to cannon on pow days. if park is not your main priority, get the pass that has waterville and cannon on it. you can hot lap waterville park whenever you want then go ski the best mountain in NH, cannon!
