I see the have look P.8 bindings for $142. Anybody know what the normal price of these bindings is? Are there any disadvantages to buying bindings online, should I just go to a local shop?

thats a really good place to get bindings. I got my ten80 bindings from there for $130.

I believe they are about ~$225 normally. There isn't any problem with buying bindings online.
