Why do they call it chicken parmegian

when its made primarily with mozzarella cheese?? I mean it could be chicken, veil, whatever, but shit always confuses me as to why the hell they call it that

because it is complimented very well with an assload of parmesan cheese!

Seriously, there are two things that I believe are infinite in the world: human stupidity and the amount of parm cheese I wish I could put on my pasta

also mozzarella is fucking tasty and yummy and perfect for the baking/melting process. Then you must use a 1:7 mozzarella to parm ratio once served

Mustve of been a shitty chicken parm. Trust me, if you have a real good chicken parm, you will retract all previous statements you have made! Its just so meaty and juicy and bready and tomatoey and cheesy and parmy all in one.

okay maybe ill try it again someday. the thing is whenever im at an Italian restaurant i cannot help myself from ordering the seafood pasta, or 'linguini pescatore' for any pasquali's in the hauuz

It actually has nothing to do with the cheese, well it does but that's later on.

Chicken parm was originally a Parmegian dish from the middle east. Yes that's right, BEFORE the italians got their hands on it. The same goes for the cheese. Ever noticed how parmesan and mozzarella both have very unique tastes? Mozzarella is also from the middle east. Originally from Jordan.

The world is a melting pot. We constantly borrow from each other and that's how we progress as a society.

The middle east was raging longgggg before the italians ever made their first dish. That said I really do think the italians did a tremendous job on this as well as many other dishes. Perfecting an already great dish.

no, no, and no. and this isn't just because i hate you from the other thread. I ordered this once and the sauce in my opinion tastes so gross-- i couldn't eat more than a couple of bites. I thought maybe it was just my appetite, so brought it home leftover--tried it the next day and just as bad.
