Splice vs crowbar

is there any difference between them besides looks and size?

yeah there is a difference. People were complaining about crowbars pinching their nose, and so oakley made the splices to have a wider, more comfortable nose

as mentioned, splice has a slightly bigger fit but the two are very comparable !

also if you ask this because of the lenses, i'm 99% sure they are not interchangeable ....

you can now be 100% sure, they are definitely not interchangeable.

The difference between splice and crowbar is only that the crowbar have a better U shape ( top view) and the splice is a little less than a U (top view) this is what a seller in a Oakley store told me . Also, splice are more comfortable because they are wider.
