My parents recently moved to Mackenzie from Manitoba and my wife and I are going to be visiting them for xmas. We have been living in Colorado for the past few years and were wondering what it's like around xmas @ powderking? Is it worth lugging all the equipment through the airports to have the pow skis there? Or are there good rental shops that we could demo some good stuff?
Any info would be appreciated. It's difficult to find anything on the place.
if you're coming from manitoba then yes its worth skiing, there is a rental shop at the hill, i believe they got new skis this year, but if it were me I'd bring my own boots at the very least... There isn't a developed village or anything, but the snow is hard to beat there.
