And not just because my pic made the front page.

I'm sure everyone agrees on this.

I've been around here for 3 years or so on two different accounts and used to lurk before that and most of the times changes happen to a site it's not for the better because the old system everyone's used to is always better, blablabla.

Not this time. I love the new system. Not everyone is using it to it's full potential (yet), but I'm sure that'll come soon.

I find myself checking back way more often (or is that a bad thing)?

Everybody seems stoked on it and so am I. A dedicated thread by the members never hurts (even though there probably has been one already; can't be bothered to look for it).

Hey man - it really means a lot that you say that. Its totally awesome, and thanks so much for the kudos!

The key here is that you have to almost 'wake up' to seeing why we did what we did. It wasn't a design decision - it was a deep structural and cultural decision. When you understand that, the changes carry such deeper weight that its insane.

We're going to change the world here.

I can pretty much agree on all your points. I've been around for 3 years with some lurking before that and I'm never partial to changes. HOWEVER, the new home page/media based backbone of NS is flippin' sweet. AND MOBILE IS FINALY WORTH USING!

Yeah this is something I've realized fully since the change. The implications for ski culture are huge.
I could write about all the cool possibilities with the new system but I don't want to clog this thread up with a wall of text. Big things in the future though, thanks Bishop/Admin.

Also got a chuckle out of seeing "LINE previously known as newschoolers.com" where the NS logo should be.
