Forsake Shoes on Kickstarter again, get them funded!

These shoes are frickin awesome, and I really hope that this time around these kids get the funding so they can finally launch the buiseness. Here is the thread from the first attempt with lots of info:

They are basically awesome looking, high quality hiking/outdoor shoes that are perfect for skiers

i just got a pair of those this spring and they spent a LOT of time on my feet doing just about everything including wading through 3 feet deep of muck! Solid shit

If your saying your not gonna pledge money because you dont have the money think about this;

All you need is $95 by December 21,

Thats 36 days from now, or $2.64 a day.  If you cant find that somehow then maybe I understand where your coming from, but I have faith you can get enough for a pair.  Plus with the holidays coming up I think you could spend a couple extra bucks knowing your gonna get way more than that in a month.

Bummer that there isn't a low-top option currently as opposed to in the pipeline. Highs aren't for everyone and it seems like you're limiting the donor pool by not offering them as an option right now.

Yeah unfortunately the lowtop model won't be ready in time for the Kickstarter. We need to raise some money before we can finish developing it. It's coming though! The Thurston is more of a mid than a high - the cuff just covers the ankle bone.

Those are actually sick. I hate having to wear uncomfy shoes that look gay when you are working/walking to work in shit weather. Nice to keep it steeze if you can

Our goal with the sole of the shoe was to combine skate shoe looks on the sidewalls with outdoor boot/shoe tread underfoot. That's why the sidewalls of the sole are flat and have an almost vulcanized look, but the tread is actually similar to what you would find on a outdoor shoe or boot. The lug depth is 5mm which is pretty average for outdoor footwear. We put large lugs on the outsides of the tread to give it wear resistance on pavement because no matter how much you hike and walk around in mud the majority of your everyday use will probably be on the street. There is also a shank in there (which skate shoes don't have) that gives the shoes a lot more stability on uneven ground.

Our wear testers have been beating on theirs for the past 9 months and said that they grip well on snow and mud.

I see what you're saying but there wouldn't be much point in having wear testers if they only told us what we want to hear. We don't pay them anything and tell them to be as critical as possible so we can actually try to fix problems with the shoes.

For example our testers said that the heel tread was wearing out too quickly so we switched to a slightly harder rubber compound that wears slower on hard surfaces. The harder compound isn't quite as tacky so the grip on steep rocks isn't quite as good. We figured that the shoes will be worn far more on pavement, so we made the switch to make them a better all around shoe.

I am also a tester and I have had very few problems with the shoes to date.  The only problems that I had found were one of the loops on the back of the shoe pulled off.  This was fixed very quickly by Forsake and they made chagnes to the production models to eliminate this problem.  Its not just the head of Forsake giving them praise.  Its all of the testers and the people I have let me shoes to as well.  These really are kickass, and being a leader of tour groups on the AT all summer I know what to look for in a hiking boot.  I have tried many brands and models and have to say this is the best shoe I have hiked in AT or any place in.

I don't know about you guys, but I get a look of disgust on my face whenever I see somebody walking around my campus in jeans and hiking boots. I'd rather have wet feet than look like a hippie. Pledge some dollars and help me get my dream shoes!
