Your entire argument falls down on the bit about wanting your shins against the front of your boots. That's complete shit. In a neutral stance you should be able to feel both the front and back of your cuff, as in you should be supporting yourself instead of relying on the boot to hold you in an unnatural position. Aside from nose-presses and butters, why would you want to lean into your boot anyway?
Which is why on instructors courses they get them to do a bunch of skiing with their boots undone, so they learn not to rely on their boot alone.
How do you think the New Lifes will do in the BC? They are symmetrical so I'm mounting center. Do you guys think it will be awkward?
