Your perception of Orage

Hello NS,
I'm doing a study on Business to business marketing and I was wondering if team NS wanted to give me a helping hand. I've always helped fellow nsers sway votes and other contest stuff, so some feed back would be greatly appreciated.
I am trying to understand the perceived customer value of the brand. So basically, I need you guys to let me know what you think about the brand. Doesn't have to be more the a sentence if your lazy!

Some food for thought,
Is Orage a core brand?
Do you perceive them as a high end or low end brand.
Are they a skiing or freeskiing brand
What do you think about the quality?

Don't have any of their gear, but from what I see, they're definitely a freeskiing brand, seeing as they sponsor freeskiers.

It depends, some of their stuff is very well fitting and tech, or you could get 2xl b-dog and be thuggin out. They cover a wide spectrum of freeskiinh outerwear, and from what I have heard it's all quality

i think orage is a great company with quality outerwear (i have pants) and they sponsor great skiers like b dog. i really like their site and ads, with the classy wood. whether its 2xl b dog or a technical jp pro, orage is an excellent outerwear company that is perceived by me, among others, as a ski clothing powerhouse

First thing that comes to mind, is that Orage is a high quality, upper end product with style and durability. I love my Orage outerwear

A couple of years ago I bought an orage jacket, skied in -30 Celsius and was super warm. As for freeskiing goes, I skied every day in the park with it. Quality is superb!

I know it sucks but survies like this need yes no answers. If you want more, it has to be yes then justify or no than justify but you explicity have to say yes or no.

i feel like Orage was a huge company but have since fell off due too a lot of new outerwear company.

i still believe they are a core company, one of the few that started us into the newschool outerwear look

orage is dope. i have their xavier pro jacket and its so tall haha definitely a high end quality product, this is my third year and it has no rips or wear.

This. I remember when I got the white and blue tj Schiller pro model like 5 years ago orange seemed like it was the biggest thing in freeskiing outerwear. I still rock orage today because i trust their quality and love their designs, but I feel like they lost some of their relevance to newer companies. Just what I think, im not sure if its right or not. Nothing against newer smaller companies (i think a lot of them are really cool and should be supported), but when I buy something from orage I know that im getting something nice and theyre reliable. I won't have to dick around with shotty quality and shitty customer service. Their range of products is also impressive, from giant thug stuff to technical gear to something you can wear everyday casually. Anyway, they're a great company in my opinion.

I personally wouldnt say they're a core brand but it depends on your perception.
Do you perceive them as a high end or low end brand.
I skiied Orage Pants and a Jacket for two years and i would say they are high end i ate shit a few times on rocks and never even got a tear.

I would say its more freeskiing but its still deends on the stuff you buy

Everyone who remembers Siver has a huge boner for it. That stuff was 10k, tops. I'll still always rock a Siver sticker on my car, but if it does get brought back, it's going to need a huge tech update, it's not the only ski clothing brand anymore.

I like orage
The quality is good for the price.
I think the image of the brand is more of a skiing image then a freeskiing image since some many different people wear their outerwear.

Core, theyve been around forever and have been sold at weekend worrier ski shops for years, only recently have they targeted freestyle skiier, my jacket is one of theirs and is 5 or 6 years old, pretty great quality I must say

Just to start off, I have owned 3 pairs of Orage pants, 2 jackets, 2 sweaters, 1 shirt, and 1 belt over the years that I can think of off the top of my head. My sister and my mom pretty much only wear Orage now because of me.

Is Orage a core brand:
-Core like Lethal Descent and Bloom? No. At one time was it? Yes. I still think Orage is one of the most core "mainstream" brands. They are always making cool stuff that stands out from other brands.

High / low end:
-Like most brands, Orage carries a full line from lower end to really high end. Overall, construction is almost flawless, better than many other brands. Comparable to something like Arctyrx? No, but far from being low quality.

Quality:
-Like I just said, construction quality is high, and there is a range of material qualities. I can say for one thing that my Orage t-shirt is my favorite shirt I have, so comfy. My sweaters are awesome. Jackets and pants have held up extremely well, newest outerwear I have is from 2010 so I can't talk about current quality. I also take care of my outerwear so that always helps.

Branding:
-Like most "mainstream" outerwear brands, they cater to normal skiers and freeskiers. I would say that Orage has a big influence in freeskiing, and would be considered a freeskiing brand. They sponsor a ton of significant skiers and events (Masters).

Experience:
-My experience has been excellent with everything Orage that I own. Can't say anything negative. Of course I have rips on my pants, but those were expected from the situations.

Good / Bad:
-I have never said anything bad about the brand, other than opinionated stuff about some of the pieces. Many of the people that I know with Orage have it because of word of mouth.

Stylish:
-Depends on the piece, but overall yes. Do I like everything they produce? No. Some of it is off the wall, but still maintains that coolness factor. I think this year's B-dog is atrocious. The fit of everything I own is pretty much on point, plus Orage has many different fits (slim, reg, loose, Masters RIP). They should bring back the Master's series, all those pieces were amazing, and the fit was properly big and tall.

Urban:
-Not really. They make normal clothing but it's not what everyone would consider "streetwear."

In my opinion, Orage has been more disappointing every year in terms of outerwear designs. Each year there are less and less pieces that I like. Bring back the Masters series!

orage is a core brand by sponsoring skiers who are at the core of the freeskiing movement (BDog, and JP). Their outerwear is high quality and stylish, I personally own 2 taylor hoodies and pants are they are some of the favorite pieces i own. As far as marketing I think they do an excellent job. The swiss family vacation series and the team park shoots are cool to watch. Its awesome watching them all ski together. I dont think of orage as an urban or street wear brand at all. I hope this helps

OP, when i was younger i thought orage was the shit, a always wanted orage stuff. Nowadays i don't like most of their stuff, but the b-dog last year was kinda cool. I would also say it's a pretty high end brand, not like just a price level lower than jiberish. I actually have no idea how much their gear costs but i feel like its a lot, i would look it up but i think this is a more genuine opinion so i won't. Its not that stylish, but its not gaper-gear either, that is all.

I think they are a brand on the rise. Not a major brand yet, but on their way.

I would say they're high end.

Definitely a freesking brand.

My guess would be that it's pretty high quality.

Never experienced them

I would speak highly of them. I would say they're a pretty good brand.

Mid high quality. I bought a $50 lime green shell at TJ Maxx. Looks pretty slick and gets the job done, but it's been getting random black marks on it, which kind of ruins the lime green effect.

Pretty high quality brand, i used to have some nifty orage baselayer thing that was awesome and warm . definitely freestyle and the jackets (especially women's) are a bit different and sweet.

I like Orage a lot. I think their clothes are stylish and pretty high quality. I would consider them to be a core free skiing brand and while I do not own any of their clothes I have seen some of their jackets and hope to purchase in the future.

Ehh Orage is decent design wise. The only jacket I would consider getting is the B-Dog and maybe the Benji pants, other then those few items they could bump it up a bit in that department However, quality wise they were quite impressive, I owned a pair of pants a few seasons ago and they functioned great
