I have been working on this the last month and finally am just about finished. Im working on some front page loading. It does take a few seconds to do the initial load (working on this issue) After the first load it takes no take! Please take a look at my website and give me some feedback! Hope you all enjoy!
Like the site overall, I hope my comments don't sound negative/douchebaggy. I'm just saying what I see that I would change if your site was mine.
I don't like the scrolling sidebar on the right. I'd cut that from 12 pics or 6 or maybe have two columns.
What's up with the twitter on the top left?
Why do you have the bottom twitter/fb items set to share/tweet page?
North Face should be The North Face in your client list, unless it's a different North Face.
*I don't know anything how client lists are supposed to be ordered whether it's by how large of a cleint is or how large the company is but I was surprised to see TNF so far down the list.
I think the menu bar would look better if you put it halfway down the photo, not halfway down the page.
this is the type of feedback I was looking for... thank you all for you compliments and criques! I take everything into consideration to make my website my functional! Sorry about the slow connection... sometimes that actually happens to me when I look at it... it could be a server connection error through godaddy.com (hosting server)
Yeah the halftone doesn't make sense to me at all. And I like a portfolio site to be simple, this layout is way too complicated in my opinion. And I would use less photos in each section, I saw a lot that were really repetitive. Like in the skiing section, there were at least two of the same angle on the same rail at timberline. It's not necessary, keep it concise
Coming from someone who just spend 3+ months nailing down a website for a content marketing firm is started with some friends, (very similar layout/mission)
Overall it is a VERY cool site. Unique layout, interesting to explore and look at. Unfortunately I am assuming your number one goal is to get more clients, not have people like me say "whoa cool" (as valuable as that can be.
Get that menu bar displayed right on the homepage. You will have prospective clients that are not internet savvy confused when they don't know how to navigate
Take the @rocmaloney out from before your name - same reason as stated above
I'm not sure if you really love the pattern background that is opaque on all of your images, but to me it's a bit distracting and people will be thrown off by it.
replace big clients list with all of their logo's (2 tone on a clean background looks best IMO)
You do look a bit agressive in the photo on the about page, but I kind of like it.
