i heard a rumor breck wont be opening with the usual triple line at the top. somebody please confirm as i am deciding on breck or keystone for this weekend.
yeah, too many warm days and not enough snowmaking, it's been around 50 degrees up here almost every day since the last storm. I'm sure with the natural snow coming this weekend they'll get em up soon
Breck says: The park will unfortunately not be open tomorrow, but as we have snow expected to move in this weekend, things may change rapidly! With unseasonably warm weather over the last two weeks, we have faced challenging snowmaking conditions but hopefully Ullr will show up in full force this weekend.
yeah I heard that just a bit ago, too. but then after that I was told they may have like 3 rails set up on the side of springmeir somehow. we'll see! should be a fun day regardless!
They do have a tiny park up. Dfd and 3 down rails (didn't see what type). You have to hike to access it tho. No restrictions that I've seen so far. No lines on the lift either except for te first hour open.
The no jump rumor is true, safety patrol is literally telling people that only top to bottom trail open eight now is in fact a 'no jumping trail' I got written up first run of the day today. Apparently as much as you guys do joke about no grabs and stuff, safety patrol is under new quotas and policies. They are cracking down more than they ever have in the past just so everyone knows. If you want rip top to bottom runs goto keystone if you to ski park goto keystone.......I don't know why I would goto breck after my experience today. Just waiting in the jumps.....
I think you read this thread wrong, the no jump rumor was about actual jumps, not jumping on the WROD lol. that sucks tho, maybe try to not do it in front of them? I've been cruising the sides of the run jumping everywhere and have not had a single thing said to me at all. hahahah
Ha. I know man. I'm just trying to add humor by also being serious. I've never gotten yelled at in 6years. And its only a matter of time before they catch ya. Just giving everyone a heads up.
Takes more than four days to blow enough snow for a base, jumps, run out to Springmeier, rails, and then to push the snow and create it all with an early season staff.
But yes, to answer your question, the small park is up at the bottom.
Probably would have been up by now with the last few days, but they're playing catch up with the prior warm weeks I have to imagine as well as main trails to spread the crowds could be a priority. who knows. Jumps soon *hopefully*
