prohibition doesnt work EVER. name a time when it has or dont argue for it. or you could just accept the law bc daddy government tells you drugs are bad and if you do it you are going to jail. definitely do not question authority or motivation behind unwillingness to change federal laws....
I have to say to people saying "just don't do drugs" .. fuck you.
drugs are a beautiful thing, its the user who gives them a bad rep. You can't just lump all drugs into 1 category. I must speak from experience that as a responsible adult drugs have only helped me succeed in life.
take 1 good mushroom trip and then come back and talk to me. damn I have so many things I want to write but I can't put them into words. I guess the moral is that it's not the drug thats bad, it's the user.
and fuck the DEA wasting the taxpayers dollar on marijuana busts, thats the biggest fucking joke i've ever heard
I know a kid that sells to support his family, including his 14 year old brother who's really sick right now, like the kid is on life support. Obviously this scenario isn't telling of most dealers and there are other ways for him to make money, but people have always turned to crime in times of desperation and I'd rather have people selling weed, coke, almost any drug to people who are willingly taking it rather than people robbing or burglarizing people because they need money.
Sure I understand that but that's hardly justification for the majority of people going away drugs. Weed is one thing but there is a moral issue in that story right there, providing dangerous substances to better your life and family.
Look at it this way... it might be cliche but someone is gonna sell the drugs right? I mean it's not like if all the drug dealers stopped selling the drugs would just disappear. There will always be people willing to take advantange of the available market. And the market is ALWAYS available.
And on prohibition, the best way to put it is.. why should drugs be illegal? It's not stopping anyone. The guy who gets offered a bump of crystal isn't gonna say no because it's illegal. We need to fix this archaic system of just because something is bad for people we make it illegal. Read up on Portugal and then tell me drugs should be illegal.
I feel like were getting away from the real point here. You can have reasons but people shouldn't be complaining that they're in jail if they are gonna use or sell drugs. It can be a quick way to money and relieve types of stress but you know it's illegal when you're doing it. Fight all you want to have things changed but if you're gonna do it now you know its illegal.
