North Face Gonzo?

Thinking about asking for this for Xmas. And have a few questions.

Anyone ever own this and have a review, good, bad anything.

Also I was going to go for a XL long. I'm 6'3 do you think that this would be a good size?

this is a great jacket! I've had mine for a while now and it holds up really well in cold weather if you wear a layer underneath. I would say that if anything the xl would be too big cause i'm about 5'5" and a medium goes about 3 inches above the knees.

The Gonzo runs big. Also, buy it from Altrec if they have the specific size/ color you want. It's a lot cheaper.

Think about whether you want to get it insulated or uninsulated too.

Gonzo is incredibly light and thin! Only bad thing is that you should wear insulated layers.

thanks everyone who replied. Especially the altrec response! shit is cheap, but unfortunately doesn't have the blue color that i was looking for :( Ill keep that place in mind though.

So do you guys think the xl long would be to long for someone who is 6'3? (i only really want it mid thigh)

XL Long has a zipper length of 36.5" according to my measurements so you can try to base it off that (I owned it for a week and returned it because it was a little big on me). It'll likely be about perfect on you.

I just bought it in TW's colors. No shame. Doesn't matter what other people think. If you like the colors, get it.

I would go XL for mid thigh. I'm 6"1'and I have last years which isn't tall, and it's about mid thigh.

I have always worn some gonzo, year after year. My new 2013 gonzo came in a few days ago, and i LOVE it. i got it in the purple/black/grey and i really like the colors. i got an xl in regular length, and i'm 5'4. its about an inch above my knee, they run really big. buy this jacket, its amazing..really warm for how thin it is, i also like the off center zipper, and it has so many great accessories, like a goggle cleaner, pass pocket, awesome pockets, nice zippers...just an amazing jacket in general.

model is 5,4, wearing xl regular length

5'4 with an XL...... DUDE NO..

im 5'6 and a medium is plenty big enough. if you're worried dress it up with a tall t underneath.

I'm 5'6" with a small. It does have a long inseam though and I guess I'm rather slim.

I'm 5'10 and can only find the color I want in medium long or xl long. I do want it baggy, but is xl too big?
