Salomon binding hole pattern help

I just bought a pair of skis that were previously mounted for salomon 997s. I want to know if the hole pattern for these match up with any other salomon bindings or at least just the heels or toes since I will only be using one set if possible.
I know the STH 12 have a 3 hole toes and the higher din have 4 if Im not mistaken. Do all have the five hole heels and are they all the same layout?

The lower din versions have the three hole toe ( sth 12, oversize sth 14 and the z series) the higher din models (sth 16, sth 16 steel and driver toe pieces have the 4 hole toe. The heels on the sth 14 and 16 and older 12's have the 5 hole heel while now the sth 12 just has the 4. 16's and 14's have the 5 still

Only the Z series bindings and the STH 12 oversize and the STH 10 (a z10 really) use a 3 hole toe pattern. All the real STH bindings use the standard 4 hole toe. All STH bindings except the STH 10, use the same 5 hole rear pattern. The bindings you have should match up with any STH binding exculding the oversize. You will need 1 extra hole for the heel but you will not need any holes filling and redrilling.

if you need a template go to quiverkiller inserts and in their downloads they have paper drill templates for most major binding companies

There are also templates on TGR. I just wanted to know the holes would match up if I bought some STH16s before I spend money on them.

He wont need any templates, the holes will match up fine, just need 1 extra hole drilling for the heel. Take the old bindings off then next time your near a shop ask if they will add the 1 hole per ski. While there at it, they can see if the core has any type of water damage. I highly doubt it would cost more then $5, so defiantly not worth the risk of messing it up yourself.

If your getting STH 16's just take the skis with you to the shop you buy the bindings from, they should mount for free, and if there are any hole conflicts they can tell you before you spend money on the bindings.

The STH16 shares the same hole pattern as the non-demo 997.
