Replying to Spring break trips

A couple of my buddies and I are planning to do a trip in February when we have an 8 day reading break from university, we live in BC and are looking for some ideas. Thinking about maybe going down into the states but not sure. It could be a long drive or could even be a flight if it was cheap. But the whole mexico trips and that kinda stuff are prooobably out of the price range. Probably not going to be a ski trip since one of the guys isn't really big on skiing, and tickets every day gets pricey. Any ideas?
