Bro, your from banff, don't get me started on pakis. Ya'll dunnoe 'bout dem, to be honest I only personally know one person from the middle east. But they are everywhere, other than their stench they are a rather docile people, can't hate on them they're so calm.

Also, im blind to skin colour, makes no difference to me. I just hate how were being assimilated into this idea of multi-culturalism. If you come to my country, please just take some time to become at least a little Canadian.

Ok but what do they expect going to a foreign Country? I mean if I went to India I wouldn't expect all the people to accommodate me and try to learn my culture and make me feel comfortable there.

Yeah that's not really what I'm getting at. It is reasonable to expect to be not understood and having to learn a new language when moving to another country, but what I have a problem with is that so many people just get so automatically frustrated at people who are different from them, even though they may be trying to learn the language and aren't that far a long, and I also think that people need to consider how hard it must be for some of these people. A lot of immigration isn't just like, ohh I think I like Canada, it's a forced decision. And when people from another country want to be surrounded in a little bit of their culture, that's fair too in my opinion, or else it might just be too hard for them.

How did you know all this? How do you know they weren't retired from long careers? Just curious, seems like a lot of information for anyone to be able to accurately gather.

Personally I don't care, where you're from, what religion, how long you've been here. whatever! the thing that gets me is when people perpetuate stereotypes and when people refuse to interact with people of other cultures.
My high school was mostly asian, and if you were white there was a 75% chance you were mormon. if not you were fucked.
but I knew kids who had lived here since really young ages and were still in ESL classes because they refused to associate with anyone outside of the asian community or speak english. I'm not saying you need to abandon your culture or anything I'm just saying When in rome.

this thread is borderline on so many issues.
like 5 intelligent people in here, the rest are hiding racism with some sort of "objective" standard for immigrants, and quite a few people are over the top nationalist.
