Replying to Surgery to take pins out

So last February, I totally ate shit trying to do my first 9. I broke my tibia and fibula clean in two. I had to have surgery, with a rod down my tibia and 4 pins to hold everything in place. Tomorrow I'm having another surgery to have the pins in the bottom of my leg taken out, and to be honest I'm kind of freaked out. Do any of you have any experience with surgeries like this? What should I expect? How long do you think the recovery would be? Thanks, and of course honest answers get +K.
