We all know that with freeskiing accepted in the Sochi Olympics, almost every athlete will train their brains out to get a spot in the National Ski Team. These spots are limited, so I guess athlete's egos will start growing and begin to collide as the olympics arrive.

This time, we got the always controversial Tanner Hall who uploaded the following pic on instagram making fun of Walter Wood and his religious views or whatsoever by posting the following:

"The U.S. Team mascot talkin bout god know what??? #areuevenontheteamhahaha"

I don't know if it certainly was a joke or just tanner being himself pushing the limits, but it created lot of discontent amongst the other us ski team athletes and they began some sort of instafight.

The point is, that I think that this will star happening a lot because all athletes have their own point of view regarding Olympics. So anyway, just wanted to throw this out there and get to know what you think.

and other skiiers dnt have drive and passion? Who gives a fuck if Tanner thinks he s gonna win anything. The truth is he 100% will not be in the olympics, let alone win, its just as simple as that. And i honestly dont even think HE believes he will win. Sure he will try, but Torin Yater Wallace or as tanner calls him "Little Man" is a way way better halfpipe skier.

i do respect tanner and have met him personally, but i can see how he might be a little scurred of not makng it into the olympics so therefore he ribs on the idea of it so it makes it seem like he didnt want it anyway. i am against skiing being in the olympics shits the worst idea ever. it is a contradiction to what free skiing is

Trust me - not many people have the drive that Tanner does.

Time will simply tell who is right on this issue, and I will certainly go on record saying that I'm absolutely positive Tanner is going to qualify, and that he is going to be a major contender for the podium.

SO LET ME GET THIS STRAIGHT. Freeskiing is about doing your own thing and having your own style...........unless you spin beyond 12, then you are just doing "future spins" and "ruining" the sport? You are a hypocrite if you think contests are ruining our sport. There wouldn't be freeskiing, without contest skiing.

I actually do feel bad for you. Living your whole entire life wrapped up in one thing and being famous for it too, would leave a very very strange and delusional psychological makeup. yeah, except that freeskiing literally exists in opposition to contest skiing. It started because people were sick of the rigidity and extraneous bs that surrounded freestyle. So, technically you're right, there wouldn't be freeskiing without contests....because freeskiing wouldn't have had anything to free itself from.

What you meant to say, is that there wouldn't be an industry, pros and corporate funding if not for contests, but you're full on stupid if you don't think people like myself and thousands of others would be looking for new ways to have fun on skis if contests didn't exist.

It IS hypocritical to yell about the free in freeskiing if you're then telling people what freeskiing is or isn't, but you're guilty of twisting the argument. Most people won't say that spinning a lot is inherently wrong or "isn't freeskiing", they'll say that spinning as much as possible and looking to add a 180 to a trick is a pretty limited and narrow minded way to look at progression, and that the obsession with "progression" and out spinning the next guy has changed the sport, arguably for the worse.

He IS famous...because famous is a relative term. In the freeski community, or mountain, snow, or even "extreme/action sports" community, he's incredibly famous.

This is how stupid your famous "test" is: Ask around a BIG CITY who Ben Bernanke is.......I bet you the majority of people won't know, yet he's "famous" to anyone who pays even a little attention to politics/money.

Let me make some suggestions for you. Ill dumb them down though because you lack the education most "retards" on this site have already received. In many movies and interviews you have complained about the hardships you have been through. While I realize your life hasn't been easy, I also realize many of your hardships are ski and injury related. Those hardships wouldn't be hardships if you weren't so obsessed with one single thing and weren't so obsessed with your crazy little world. Again, Im not trying to say things have been easy, Im just trying to say if you opened your mind up to the actual world around you, which exists, you may realize that your problems are better able to handle. Maybe instead of ragging on kids who ski on an olympic team (which is of no importance to anyone but you), you could go down to a homeless health clinic and volunteer with some patients. Maybe you could go travel in a few Asian countries and help teach english. Maybe you could go to Africa and help deliver medicine to impoverished rural families. I dont know there are many things, but I think you would have an easier time with the media, newschoolers, and your own life if you opened up your mind a little bit.

Anyway, you're a great skier Tanner. I just think we all get a little sick of media mishaps!
