Alright so I am looking at getting a hard drive for video editing. I am not sure which one I should get. and or how many. My budget is up to $350 and I am looking for around 1 TB. I have a macbook pro 15 inch 2.6 ghz with retina. What connection should I use? I was looking at FW800 Also what is the best way of getting files from a memory card onto the hard drive?
I have not decided witch drive to get since I figured I could wait for christmas, but I will probably end up getting the LaCie rugged 1tb since I need it at school.
I looked at the LaCie rugged but I am not really going to be traveling with it a lot. I was looking at something more along the lines of a g-tech but I am not sure which would work better, 500gb or 1TB and single or dual drive. Also i was thinking fw800 but would eSATA work better with the computer I have?
I was looking at G-Tech drives but the reviews aren't good. Can anybody recommend me a drive that is great for editing? I have 2 thunderbolt ports on my computer so maybe thunderbolt?
