One of the best (if not the best) segments of the year. Switch cork 7 redirect is absolutely absurd, craziest thing to happen in a park shoot since Simon jumped over a running zaugg (maybe even crazier than that).
Honestly, I respect what Pettit did/does...but I think PBP got the order wrong with the last two segments of WE.
I understand it's based a lot on popularity/stardom....doesn't change my opinion. When I watched the movie the first time, after what Karl did to that feature, I just kinda lost intrest in what Sean was doing (not saying it was sick, cause Sean certainly kills it, but the high point of the movie had clearly already been reached). It was kind of unfair to Sean in a way, cause it took away from his segment (for me at least).
I loved the segment and think Karl's gonna continue to kill it down the road. Killing it on one feature doesn't guarantee you a closing seg though, regardless of what went down. He'll have a closing segment one day, and it'll be a good one at that.
I literally live a mile away from 4-5 of those shots, the first shot with the up rail to down tran and the tranny gap with all those weird block things
I guess if you like LSM's skiing more, then sure but karls segment is undeniably insane. I bet 75% of the tricks karl did LSM wouldnt even try... Just saying. If you like LSM more thats fine, thats your opinion.
Yep, LSM and Karl are not really that comparable. If we are going by sheer gnarliness and all round shredding however, Karl's seggy is undeniably better though. But thats not what LSM goes for in his skiing, so they aren't really comparable.
Which is why they aren't really comparable, I'm not even sure why this comparison was brought up, Karl is just a gnarly all-round skier, hitting huge features, whereas LSM is more of a chill, layed back stylie and creative skier. Totally different skiers pretty much.
Its like comparing Cam Riley to Andy Parry, just totally different skiers and styles.
Lucas Stål-Madison, he won Superunknown...which is why it's COMPLETELY IRRELEVANT to the original post cause it's two COMPLETELY different skiers, with COMPLETELY different styles, filming with two different companies (Karl with PBP, LSM with Level1) so why they're being compared here is beyond me.
