they are easier to learn tricks on imo. I learned front/back swaps at Britteny on corrugated before taking it to a rail. I was also pretty skeptical at first but try it out, its super fun
My hill has 5 rails, 2 are metal corrugated tubes, they wear down your skis quickly, and are pretty scary to 270 on too but still fun. I find them easy to spin off of!
this, corrugated pipes are really the in-between of a rail and a box(I'm taking about the plastic ones cuz metal ones suck dick), i pretty much learned all of my tricks on a corrugated pipe
do not understand it one bit. a lift tower is plenty fine for a large pipe to do stuff on, slides smoother, and doesnt fuck up your gear (or you) anywhere near as bad. understandable some people are looking for cheap stuff to jib. but if you are stealing one, hope you get hurt on it.
The plastic ones are deadlier I think. At least the metal ones don't get beat up. The plastic ones get cut up. Doesn't take much to get something to grab on.
Plastic hurts less to slam into but I feel the metal ones are easier to ride.
