ar7 is full camber. halo has early rise. im gonna go ahead and assume you already know this and it makes them different. ar7 is gonna be a better ski for bigger jumps whereas halo will be more playful and buttery. both legit parks skis but its up to you and your preference whether you want early rise (slight tip/tailrocker) or not.
not really.... the Ar7 is softer than the Halo. The Alpha 1 is really still, and the Halo is pretty stiff too, or at least in my opinion, I have the alpha 1 and really like them, they are awesome in the park, besides butters. Reason i dont like them, not very good all over the mountain and it being so stiff and the durability has been kinda crappy (before anyone contradicts me, my alpha 1s, my brothers and my friends halos are all starting to fal apart after a season of skiing, which is normal for a park ski i guess, but the Ar7s hold up much better for some reason, my little brother has them) The halo will be good in the park for everything, the Ar7 will be better all over the mountain, little more playful and better on the mountain, but if i were to buy armadas again i would go with the Arv!
for what you're describing I'd say the alpha 1's, They don't slay jumps quite as hard as the ar7's but they're also super buttery and playful while still being a stiffer flexed ski. They'll take you all around more than the ar7's would for you, in my opinion.
I have had 2 pairs of pipe cleaners and I have loved both of them! tons of pop, even when more than half of the edge has been ripped off the ski. I also have a set of jjs which are pretty much all you need when it is snowing. In any case the pipe cleaner is an excellent park ski, jumps, rails, pipe, whatever you want they will let you have it.
the halos are def not stiffer than the ar7 idk how you assumed that ive skied both and i can say go with the arv or halos. also more info is needed ex. height wieght ability but from what youve said go with the halos.
ive been doing research cause i pretty much want the same thing as you except i would substitute big jumps with medium sized jumps. My top 3 choices are halos, alpha 1's, and atomic punx in that order. for you it seems like the alpha 1 because there definitely stiff enough for big jumps while being more flexy than ar7's
That was not an assumption if you read it, thats my opinion, and i believe its accurate seeing how my brother and i both have pairs of alpha 1s, my best friend has the halos, and my other brother has the Arv7s, but whatever what do i know
