WA voting- approve referendum 74 and Initiative 502
Please vote yes on the marijuana legalization bill. It won't really affect me, but I know that a lot of you guys are up in arms over the DUI clause. There are much bigger factors in play. Voting yes is a vote for social justice and sensible policies around a failed attempt at prohibition.

Oh it's pretty likely. We've already seen federal agents raiding medical dispensaries. The point is the symbolism. I don't think this law is perfect anyway, but it's the fact that a majority of the people of this state are saying that they want it to be legalized. That's the point here.
I couldn't fathom those mangy smelly hippy types that are always petitioning at events in downtown Seattle celebrating ad nauseum if that shit passes, so I rejected 502.
Ha I almost put in *insert Obama is shitty anyways here* but still, he is the President. And ok.. not all Conservative Republicans are sterotyping assholes. Just you. And most of the rest...
The DEA will not chase down on a single person or groups of people. They will go for shops and businesses like they have for dispensaries. The head of the DEA is a dumb bitch who is wasting our money having the dea take weed from dispensaries that just get more weed a couple days later. They get no where.
Under federal law, it's still completely illegal. However, I think the federal agents will have better things to do with their time than busting shops that are complying with state law (and paying due tax.)
People who smoke bud are already breaking federal law. How will I-502 will make this any different? If they do decide to crack down it will be like what they have done with the medical marijuana industry. Cobra's scared the city will be ridden with stoners since Seattle is likely to become a marijuana mecca.
Have you read the bill? I doubt it. People make a big fuss about the minimal things, I will get a DIUD, You cant grow your own plants, ect, ect. Its a GIANT step forward No bill is perfect. You will still get a DUID even if this law is repealed, and most likely it would take 1 nano gram, or a dirty piss to get you the DUID. People will be able to legally buy cannabis and not get arrested for it. It also puts the government under pressure to take a look at the drug laws, and possible re-schedule marijuana, or eventually lead to legalization. You are seriously miss guided if you think this law is bad. Because of this countries and provinces are looking legalize weed. Washington will become a ganja mecca, I have no clue on how this is bad?
Jesus... Weed smokers have been wanting this forever. All I been hearing is complaints. Used to smoke, can't anymore due to employment policy (random ua's). Well it's legal. Wish granted.
Medicinal Marijuana is illegal under federal law too. There have only been like two medicinal marijuana dispensiaries shut down since we've legalized it. It's not THAT big of a deal to feds.
This thread is starting to remind me of Facebook with all the ignorant posts. I'm out.
But Cobra, yeah the only people against it are those making $$ in the grey area of medical marijuana right now. Where it is basically legal but with NO regulation at all.
"Weed in car = DUI" Weed in the car does not mean a DUI. You have to test over 5 nano grams.
"weed can only have .03% thc"????? Canabinoid percentages today surpass 20-30%. Bad weed has less than 10% and I doubt they will be control the % of thc. .03% won't get you stoned no mater how much you try to smoke.
"Second hand smoke = DUI due to the low legal limit." Second hand smoke may possibly put you over 5 nanograms. but I guarantee by the time you are taken to the station and tested you will be below the limit. If any of you are pulled over try and prolong them as long as you can. THC will lower below 5 nanograms in 2-3hours so once they are testing you in the station you very likely will be close to or below the limit.
"You need a license similar to a medical marijuana card" No you don't only if you plan on growing weed for the government to sell.
King County is dropping all misdemeanor marijuana charges and the WA D.A.R.E program is dropping marijuana from the curriculum. Fuck everyone who was against I-502 this is a good direction to be heading.
i remember years and years ago chatting with my friends about how it would be cool if dare go rid of weed in their curriculum. its amazing to think that were actually, there.
im pretty sure i read in the spokesman that spokane county is also not pursuing or following through with any new cases that deal with an ounce or less.
